Woman Writes Hᴇᴀʀᴛᴡʀᴇɴᴄʜɪɴɢ Letter To Puppy Mill Breeder

In the short time she had with Lily, Theresa did her best to make up for years of ᴀʙᴜsᴇ and ɴᴇɢʟᴇᴄᴛ she sᴜꜰꜰᴇʀᴇᴅ in the puppy mill.

Ever wish you’ll confront the folks that were liable for causing the love of your life, your dog’s, ᴍɪsᴇʀʏ?Thersea Strader founded the National Mill Dog Ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ in 2007 in honor of her Iᴛᴀʟɪᴀɴ ɢʀᴇʏʜᴏᴜɴᴅ Lily – who was a billboard child for the ᴀʙᴜsᴇ and ɴᴇɢʟᴇᴄᴛ puppy mill dogs experience.

Lily had spent the primary seven years of her life as a ʙʀᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ ᴅᴏɢ.

“Lily spent all of her days confined to alittle , ᴄᴏʟᴅ wire cage a ᴅᴀʀᴋ, ꜰᴏᴜʟ-sᴍᴇʟʟɪɴɢ barn. Never was she faraway from her cage for exercise or socialization. In her ᴅʀᴇᴀʀʏ ᴄᴏɴꜰɪɴᴇs, Lily was forced to supply one litter after another with no respite. Like all ᴄᴏᴍᴍᴇʀᴄɪᴀʟ ʙʀᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ dogs, she was a veritable breeding machine whose worth was measured in just a method – her ability to supply puppies.By seven years aged , Lily was wiped out . Commonplace within the industry, she had received little to no ᴠᴇᴛᴇʀɪɴᴀʀʏ ᴄᴀʀᴇ throughout her life, the results of which, for her, was terribly disturbing. thanks to years of no care , ᴘᴏᴏʀ ǫᴜᴀʟɪᴛʏ ꜰᴏᴏᴅ, rabbit bottle watering and no appropriate chew toys, the roof of Lily’s mouth and mandible , had ʀᴏᴛᴛᴇᴅ ᴀᴡᴀʏ. Her chest was ʀɪᴅᴅʟᴇᴅ with ᴍᴀᴍᴍᴀʀʏ ᴛᴜᴍᴏʀs and she or he was absolutely sᴄᴀʀᴇᴅ of people.”The Strader brought Lily and twelve other dogs home from the ᴀᴜᴄᴛɪᴏɴ and what followed was a ʜᴀʀʀᴏᴡɪɴɢ ᴇᴅᴜᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ in rehabilitation, something that would inspire the seasoned ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇr to ta devote her time and energy to advocating for dogs like Lily from that point forward. Just fifteen months after her ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ, Lily ᴘᴀssᴇᴅ ᴀᴡᴀʏ in the loving arms of her adoptive family. While ɢʀɪᴇᴠɪɴɢ, Strader wrote this powerful letter directed at Lily’s breeder and her beloved Lily. I think her heartfelt letter also speaks to the public at large too, because commercial breeders only breed dogs like Lily if there’s demand from consumers.

Share Lily’s story and Strader’s important message with your friends and family!
