Owner Travels 310 Miles To Reunite With His Sᴛᴏʟᴇɴ Dog – Heartwarming Reunion
Bandit, a Belgian Shepherd, was just four-months-old when he disappeared from his home in Côte-d´Or, North Eastern France, in September 2020. Hᴇᴀʀᴛʙʀᴏᴋᴇɴ by his young pup’s unknown whereabouts, owner Farid desperately tried to find his four-legged friend, but with no success.
Eight months later, on May 21, 2021, Bandit was spotted sitting on the side of a road in Fabregues, around 310 miles away from his home. Fortunately, Bandit was fitted with a microchip, allowing him to be (eventually) reunited with his owner again.
A reunion has been organized. Thanks to the incredible lifesaving activities of the animal shelter, the excellent Samaritans and microchip, Bandit and Farid look forward to reuniting and staying together for many more years.
Farid immediately went to pick up Bandit. “I am very grateful to everyone who has contributed to the reunion. I cannot fully emphasize the importance of chipping your pet. Bringing Bandit home was one of the happiest days of my life,“ Falid said.
During the heartwarming clip, the dog is seen walking out of a van, where he appears to instantly recognise his owner. Farid then bends down with his arms wide open to which Bandit excitedly jumps up and wags his tail upon being hugged.
Since uploading Banit and Farid’s reunion to YouTube, the touching clip has been watched more than 100,000 times.
Now, Banit is happily back Farid’s home. Farid is so happy to have his best friend back home. He’s also glad that he had Banit microchipped—without the microchip, he may have never seen Banit again.
We may never know who ᴋɪᴅɴᴀᴘᴘᴇᴅ Banit, but one thing is for sure: Banit is now back in a wonderful home with a dad who loves him more than anything. We’re so happy these two were reunited!
