If there is one film that will certainly make you sob like it’s nobody’s business, it’s the legendary “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale.” Based on a true story of an incredibly loyal and ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙʀᴏᴋᴇɴ Japanese Akita who waited for his owner at Tokyo’s Shibuya train station every day for nine years following his ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ.
As a symbol of remarkable loyalty and fidelity, Hachiko was portrayed in many adaptations across pop culture worldwide: books, films, statues, and more. The ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙʀᴇᴀᴋɪɴɢʟʏ sad story of a beautiful friendship between man and his loyal dog is repeating itself 94 years later in Greece, where this devoted family dog hasn’t moved an inch from the spot where his owner met his ᴛʀᴀɢɪᴄ fate 18 months ago.
Although this story might be a couple of years old, it still ʙʀᴇᴀᴋs my heart and proves the loyalty of man’s best friend. A devoted dog refused to leave the scene of where his owner ᴅɪᴇᴅ in a car Cʀᴀsʜ for over 18 months. Locals have tried everything they could to get the dog away from the scene, but he always returns to the same spot.
According to Nafpaktia News, the dog’s owner was a 40-year-old man called Haris, who ᴅɪᴇᴅ on 9 November 2017 after a collision with a cement mixer on the Old Ring Road to the River Evinos. The only time the dog ever moves is to find shade in the hot sun.
Several families in the area have tried to adopt the dog but all attempts failed as the pooch refuses to leave the site even when the weather gets unbearably hot and cold.Moved by the dog’s dedication, locals have now built a makeshift home at the spot.
Moved by the dog’s loyalty, locals have now built a makeshift home at the spot and provided him with a blanket and regular supply of food and water.
Locals were concerned about the dog’s living conditions being that he lives on the side of the road with cars speeding by. The good news is that the dog has since been adopted into a wonderful home!
