Family reunites with dog ᴍɪssɪɴɢ for two years after recognizing him on TV news

A ʜᴇᴀʀᴛʙʀᴇᴀᴋɪɴɢ story of a ᴍɪssɪɴɢ dog, ended up into a tearful reunion between the ᴘᴏᴏʀ pup and his family. It has all been possible, after the family spotted their lost dog on the news. Wisconsin Humane Society recently shared the ᴛᴏᴜᴄʜɪɴɢ story on Facebook!Dwight usually goes to bed early, so he turns off the TV for a better sleep. However, a few days ago, he just left on and surprisingly it all turned into the most heartwarming incident. Because of his ‘error,’ the Wisconsin man was able to reunite his lost dog after nearly two years.

“[Dwight] had woken up early last Wednesday to the sounds of FOX6’s morning broadcast, just as our volunteer started describing a little brown dog with the most adorable underbite,” the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) wrote in a Facebook post about the feel-good story.

Dwight told the organization that “it only took one glance at the picture for [him] to recognize Payday immediately.”

According to the WHS, Payday was originally a companion for Dwight’s now 12-year-old daughter, who was “ᴅɪsᴛʀᴀᴜɢʜᴛ” after losing her best friend. After calling the local station, the family reunited with the pup that same day at WHS’s Milwaukee campus.

The WHS shared footage of the exciting reunion on its Facebook page, where an extremely happy Payday jumped into the arms of Dwight’s mom, who picked him up. You can watch the moment here:

In a statement to Newsweek, the Wisconsin Humane Society said, “Returning lost animals to their families is a core part of our daily animal sheltering work, and it’s a privilege to witness the profound joy of a ʀᴇᴅᴇᴍᴘᴛɪᴏɴ—especially one that waited two years!”

This love of animals makes us love life even more and believe in life
